The new Bauma showground is one of the largest, purpose-built exhibition sites in the world, but that hasn't stopped the show organizer from improving on it for the April event.

This year, the road that separates part of the outdoor area has been integrated into the site, which means no bottlenecks at the footbridges that have been seen in past shows. Road traffic is being diverted for the duration of the show.

The show has also created simplified categories for the equipment, with all 3000 exhibitors split into four groups: ‘Equipment for construction sites’, ‘Mining, extraction and processing of raw materials', ‘Production of building materials' and ‘Component and service suppliers'. Bauma says; “The new categories are also intended to make it easier for visitors to find their primary areas of interest.”
