Getting there
15 April 2008
By underground, the showground can be reached in around 20 minutes from Munich city centre. On the U2 underground line, trains run from 5.30 a.m. to midnight at 10-minute and 5-minute intervals respectively – during Bauma 2007 opening and closing hours at 3-minute intervals – directly to the New Munich Trade Fair Centre/ICM; the stops are “Messestadt West†and “Messestadt Ost.â€
From both stops, it is only a short walk to the entrances and halls.
During the trade fair, special Bauma information stands will be available for visitors at Munich's central station (Hauptbahnhof) and Munich airport.
Bauma 2007 visitor passes are not just entrance tickets. They also provide free use of all public transport in the Munich area (MVV Münchner Verkehrsverbund) and of the airport shuttle to and from the trade fair centre.
Visitors arriving at the showground by road will be directed by a traffic routing system to the trade fair and to the nearest vacant parking spaces. The New Munich Trade Fair Centre and the ICM are located directly on the A94 and can be reached via the exits Feldkirchen-West (exit no. 6), München-Riem (exit no. 5) and Moosfeld (exit no. 4), respectively.
