Salini Impregilo sees double-digit growth

Italian contractor Salini Impregilo’s revenues were €2.1 billion for the first half of the year, a +13% increase on last year. The company achieved earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) of €114 million for a 5.4% margin.
Commenting on the figures,, Salini Impregilo CEO Pietro Salini said, “I'm very pleased with our first half results which confirm double digit growth of production, the strong commercial capabilities to win new orders and a reinforced financial position, all in the current very challenging international environment."
The company won orders worth €3.5 billion in the first half of the year, taking its backlog to €28.6 billion, an increase of €400 million compared to the end of 2013. These included contracts for a new metro line in Lima, Peru, a highway project in Slovakia and work on the Brenner Tunnel project.
