Skanska's revenues hit SEK 126 billion (€ 13,8 billion) last year, just +0,7% higher than 2005. The group's net profit was down -5,9% at SEK 3,66 billion (€ 400 million), but its order backlog was up +5,6% at SEK 135 billion (€ 14,8 billion) – equivalent to about 13 months work.

According to the company all four of its business streams – construction, residential development, commercial development and infrastructure development – performed well in 2006. It highlighted Denmark as a problem area, the only country where it made a loss last year, which Skanska says stemmed from its commercial building activities.
